Pooja - Clinical Pharmacist

What’s your role at Echo?

I work on Echo’s development and operations team as a clinical pharmacist. My job involves liaising between GP practices and pharmacies to get prescription medications processed and sent out to Echo users in good time.

How did you first get into the tech industry?

I was looking for something innovative and exciting to work on after completing my pharmacy training, and I was interested in applying my clinical skills in a new environment… enter Echo!

What do you like most about working for Echo?

The team at Echo are amazing. I love working with such fun and supportive people!

What piece of advice would you give to any woman who might be hesitant about entering the technology industry?

Go for it; you’ll never know what’ll happen until you try.

Chiara - Graphic Designer

What’s your role at Echo?

I work as a graphic designer for Echo’s communications and marketing team, and I’m responsible for developing creative concepts for Echo’s advertising campaigns.

In the last few weeks, I’ve been teaching myself how to code and I can feel my confidence in working with coding software growing every day.

How did you first get into the tech industry?

After completing my master’s degree in Graphic Design, I began working for an advertising company where I used my computer skills to design and create a series of national marketing campaigns.

But Echo is the first ‘real’ technology company I’ve worked for!

What do you like most about working for Echo?

I like that my role at Echo gives me the opportunity to link my greatest passions: advertising and graphic design.

What piece of advice would you give to any woman who might be hesitant about entering the technology industry?

I would tell any woman wanting to enter the technology industry to pursue what she wants with endless passion and to not let anyone stop her from getting where she wants to be.

Johanna - Operations Associate

What’s your role at Echo?

I work on Echo’s development and operations team, processing orders for repeat medication and communicating with GP practices and pharmacies to get medicines dispensed for patients in a timely fashion.

How did you first get into the tech industry?

After completing my Master’s degree in psychology, I wanted to apply all that I’d learned from studying behavioural psychology to working within a healthtech company that aimed to increase medication adherence.

What do you like most about working for Echo?

Echo has a great company culture and everyone on the team is awesome.

What piece of advice would you give to any woman who might be hesitant about entering the technology industry?

…why hesitate?

What’s your role at Echo?

I work for Echo as a content and copy writer, and I’m responsible for researching, writing and editing most of the articles you see on the Echo blog.

How did you first get into the tech industry?

Echo is actually the first technology company that I’ve worked for, so it was Echo that got me into tech!

What do you like most about working for Echo?

I like that Echo presents me with opportunities to develop my existing skills and to build new skills every single day.

The fact that everyone on the Echo team is so supportive, and so intently focused on making Echo services the best they can be, truly inspires me.

What piece of advice would you give to any woman who might be hesitant about entering the technology industry?

Face any fears you have head on and never place limits on yourself.
