The role

We’re seeking a creative and dynamic Head of Procurement with the ability to create and deliver a strategy to establish an efficient, effective and compliant procurement function within this rapidly growing business.

We believe that possession is the bedrock of medicines adherence, thus this role is crucial to delivering our brand promise and making our patients healthier.

Responsibilities

  • Perform deep-dive analysis aimed at driving key business decisions
  • Develop and implement Business and Team KPIs
  • Strategic planning which encompasses cost saving, availability and operational efficiency
  • Identify and act on optimisation opportunities using data, such as hypothesis testing or forecasting
  • Lead and develop the buying team in sourcing and price strategies, negotiating and quality and supply issues
  • Budget ownership
  • Reporting to leadership team on budget performance, cost saving initiatives and continuous improvements

Your profile

  • You've a relevant degree level qualification and/or a minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical purchasing experience
  • You've a solution based mindset and ability to get stuff done
  • You've a strong analytical mindset and a high level of ability to use excel in order to make clear decisions (other BI tools a plus!)
  • You’re ready and willing to work in a startup environment with lots of people with different views, experience and backgrounds

There is a huge amount of pharmacy data both generated by Echo and available through the NHS that is currently going untapped. Your job is to help us change this.

We are looking for an experienced Data Analyst to drive key analytics projects supporting growth and business expansion.

The role will involve working with all areas of the business to identify, analyse and address optimisation opportunity. From turning cohorts analysis into marketing campaign targeting to finding and preempting the next operation bottleneck, this is an exciting opportunity to have an impact on all areas of a rapidly growing business.

Responsibilities

  • Perform deep-dive analysis aimed at driving key business decisions.

We’re on the lookout for a passionate wordsmith to help us transform the world of healthcare.

Over half of all medication in the UK isn’t taken as directed, which is a major burden on the NHS and on patient health. By improving medication adherence, Echo aims to use innovation to solve problems in our health service.

As the company’s Senior Copywriter, you will join our marketing team and become the custodian of Echo’s tone of voice. By enriching the website and app with new blog posts, marketing copy and a range of user comms, you’ll ensure that the Echo brand is one that patients can trust.

As Echo enters a new chapter, you’ll have autonomy over how we shape the narrative and will lead on projects like creating a refreshed tone of voice, content bible and glossary that will guide and inform how the company communicates to all users.

Working closely with the marketing team as well as other departments, you’ll also be on hand to deliver quality content that communicates our company’s purpose, attracts new users and amplifies the brand’s core values—helping us grow in the process.

If you’re familiar with producing online content, have a keen eye for detail and a flair for wordplay, we’d love to meet you. Feel free to share samples of your work or published articles along with your application.

Responsibilities

  • Craft copy for web, email, product and social.

Senior Software Engineer (Backend)

Job Description

You will be leading the backend side of engineering at Echo. This will involve designing and building new systems and services as well as maintaining and improving existing ones. You will have a lot of autonomy in deciding how to build things and what technologies to use. Our existing backend systems are all written in Node.js but we are also open to using other technologies, Go being high up on our list. We are running Kubernetes on Google Cloud Platform and deploy daily.

We are proud of what we have achieved so far but there is still a very long way to go and you will have the opportunity to make a huge impact on the business.

Skills & Requirements

We are looking for someone who:

We’re looking for a Product Designer with front-end development experience to be responsible for the design of this platform and help us give our internal tools the same love and user-focused design as our end-user products.

You’ll combine product design and UI engineering to create and maintain a design system and component library to ensure that we build consistent and scalable interfaces, working very closely with the engineering to implement and craft these products.

You’ll focus on managing medication and packaging stock levels, while using our back-end system to dispatch orders throughout the day. Right at the heart of Operations, you'll be the voice of Echo for patients, GP surgeries and pharmacy staff alike. Day-to-day you will be communicating to users via an in-app messenger as well as liaising with the Fulfilment and Clinical Team as necessary. There will also be a requirement to call GP surgeries to provide users with relevant updates every step of the way.
