We accept all NHS exemptions and prepayment certificates. If you pay for prescriptions, it's just the standard NHS charge.
As a registered pharmacy, we accept all NHS exemptions.
If you’re ordering medicine for someone under 16 or over 60, we’ll automatically apply the exemption. For all other NHS exemptions, you'll just need to add the exemption type to your account.
If you claim free prescriptions after your exemption expires, you may have to pay a penalty charge of up to £100. Even if it was a mistake.
An NHS prescription prepayment certificate (PPC) lets you get as many prescriptions as you need for a set price. This could save you money if you regularly pay prescription charges.
To use your PPC with Echo, just add the details when you're ordering medicine.
If you meet certain criteria, you could be eligible for free NHS prescriptions. This applies if you are:
over 60
under 16
aged 16 to 18 and in full-time education
pregnant, or became a parent in the last 12 months.
You may also be eligible if you have a certain medical condition or disability. For more details, have a look at the NHS website.
